We held out as long as we could but we finally gave in and had John Stephen's hair cut for the first time today. I was afraid he would look so much older so I was hesitant to do it, but he looks so cute now! He was quite excited about the big event and kept telling me the steps earlier in the day: "Haircut, comb. Haircut, comb."
He was so sweet while it was being cut. We went to a place called Cookie Cutters that specializes in kids' haircuts. Instead of barber chairs they have all kinds of vehicles they can sit in. John Stephen sat in a little red car while Benjamin tried out all the others. He sat nice and still, looking very serious, while she snipped almost 3 inches in some places! We were well overdue, as you'll see in the before and after picture.
