Shamu Who?

We are currently in San Diego to visit our old stomping grounds and tons of friends. We also thought that we would give the boys some experiences they don't normally get, so today we went to SeaWorld. We knew Benjamin would love to see some sea animals right up close. They were right in our back yard in Alaska, but we didn't get to see them this close! Someone asked Benjamin if he was going to see Shamu and he looked at them like they were nuts. He was going to see the orca whale! We did see the Shamu show and, of course, had to sit in the "soak zone". Later on the way home, Benjamin was telling me about what a great time he had. He said, "Mommy, today at Sea Land we saw the orca whale. The whale went SPLASH and I got all wet. Then the whale went SPLASH and John Stephen got all wet. Then the whale went SPLASH and Daddy got all wet. Then the whale went SPLASH and you got all wet. That's what happened at Sea Land, Mommy!" I'm so glad Benjamin didn't get sucked into the commercialism of it all, but he sure did have a good time! You should have seen his face when that cold water hit him!
