Writing letters

Last night I noticed that John Stephen was writing a letter.  All is said was, "Dear Katie," though.  I asked him about it today.

"Did you write Katie a letter last night?" I said.

"I started it, but I didn't finish it," he told me.

"Why not?" I asked

"Well, I was going to write a letter to Mrs. Melchiori, but I wrote Katie's name instead!"


**Katie is the cute little girl in John Stephen's class who he says is his "girlfriend" and Mrs. Melchiori is his kindergarten teacher from last year.  I think writing a letter to either one of them is absolutely adorable!
