Run

"Mommy, why do grown ups walk everywhere?" William asks from the backseat of the car while we're driving.

Thinking he's asking about the people on the sidewalk I tell him, "Sometimes it's easier to just walk where you need to go if it's not too far.  Or maybe they don't have a car or a bike, so walking is all they can do.  Some people just like to walk!"

"I don't know why the do that.  I like to run!  If I need to get somewhere, I'm going to RUN!" he tells me.  Of course, I now picture adults running everywhere they need to be, just like kids!  Wouldn't that be fun!
