Benjamin went to a Baseball Camp earlier this week with the Potomac Nationals, a minor league baseball team that feeds into the Washington Nationals. It was three mornings and was taught by the P-Nats players themselves. Benjamin loved it! As part of the camp, they gave each attendee two passes to a game.
I asked the boys if they were interested in going and John Stephen and William both jumped at the chance, having not had the opportunity to do baseball stuff this week. Benjamin, on the other hand, gave me a "maybe".
"Are you all baseballed out?" I asked him.
"Kind of," he admitted.
Then William piped up, "I'm not! I'm baseballed in!!"
Needless to say, we ended up at the game tonight. I bought Benjamin a baseball to have the players sign while he was at camp, but he was too shy to ask for autographs. However, we stood outside the clubhouse after the game and he timidly waited for players to make their appearances as they left the stadium. Once they started coming out and he saw the other kids jumping at a chance at autographs, he was all over it! He was first in line each time a new player would open the door! He was obsessed! In the end, I think he ended up with 20+ signatures, not one of which can I read!
