Yucky Stew

I was super busy this morning preparing for Teacher Appreciation Week, so the boys were "allowed" to do things I probably wouldn't normally let them get away with.  This is what I overheard:

Tink, tink, tink as a spoon stirred around in a cup.

"We're making yucky stew, right John Stephen?!"  Benjamin said as I'm pretty sure they added hard boiled egg yolk to orange juice.

"Yeah!  What else do we need to make yucky stew?"  John Stephen asked.

"Boogers!" Benjamin told him in a timid, but excited voice as if he knew he shouldn't be talking about such things, but as if he also knew it would make it totally yucky!  "Pick your nose, John Stephen," he instructed in a sneaky voice.

"It also needs some water!"  John Stephen said as I heard him filling the cup at the refrigerator.  "That'll make it really soggy."

"Yeah!  Yucky stew definitely need to be soggy!"  Benjamin cheered him on.

Then the next thing I know, they're trying it out on William... and he was actually drinking it!  Gross!
