Wise beyond his years

Scott is painting the entryway to our house. Benjamin is laying on the floor watching him and asking a million questions about everything he is doing.

I said to Benjamin, "Aren't we lucky to have Daddy? He's so handy and knows how to do so many things."

"Yes!" he answered.

"You can do all of these things for your wife when you grow up too," I told him.

He went on with a silly story about our house marrying his house and painting the whole thing pink.

Then he said, "You want to know what color I'm really, really 100% going to paint my house?"

Of course we wanted to know.

"Whatever color my wife wants!" was his very wise answer!
